SteriLog™ was developed as a response to the need for a better solution
In the summer of 2017, Dr. Sam Axelrod, an innovative and progressive Dentist of nearly 40 years, was faced with the challenge of having his staff comply with the recent focus on labelling and logging of instrument sterilization packages as well as their associated chemical and biological indicator test results.
His search for efficient and easy to use automated solutions turned up empty. At this point he either accepted the costly and inefficient current “solutions” available, and hire additional staff to support these tasks, or develop a solution of his own.
That’s when SteriLog™ was born.
Dr. Axelrod approached Zack to partner with him in developing a turn-key, reliable, and easy-to-use system meeting the demands of safety and compliance in instrument reprocessing tracking.
In short time, with the further contributions of many developers and Dental professionals, the first installations of SteriLog™ occurred in multiple locations of Dr. Axelrod’s practices. With the input of his staff, who are thrilled with the system, and advice from others in the field, systems were developed within SteriLog™ to make it as intuitive as possible.
The goal was, and continues to be, to achieve safety and compliance while eliminating repetitive tasks as well as paper records in the most efficient manner.
SteriLog™ and it’s unique advantages were officially launched and made publicly available at the April 2018 Annual Spring Meeting of the Ontario Dental Association. To say that the system was interesting to the dental public would be an understatement. The booth was one of the busiest ones in the show with interest from Dentists, their staff, distributors and manufacturers.
From that point forward, SteriLog™ has continued to provide systems to progressive Dental facilities with enthusiastic response from the users and owners of the practices. The developers continue to advance new roles for SteriLog™ with enhancements and additions being uploaded to the purchased systems. Many comments from users have indicated the level of satisfaction, accuracy, dependability and cost saving that have occurred within their facilities.
In July of 2018, SteriLog™ was granted “Patent Pending” status for the system based on its unique approach to meeting the regulatory requirements.
With this we will continue to offer our current and future clients pleasant, cost effective and efficient solutions to safety and compliance in instrument reprocessing.
